Hi again,
I upgraded the machine to Kernel v2.0.36 and it now uses the Adaptec AIC7xxx
driver version: 5.1.4/3.2.4.
The problem is still there, the kernel reports:
Feb 8 02:51:44 hostname kernel: (scsi0:0:13:0) Data overrun detected in Data-In
phase, tag 12;
Feb 8 02:51:44 hostname kernel: Have seen Data Phase. Length=65536, NumSGs=1.
Feb 8 02:51:44 hostname kernel: sg[0] - Addr 0x450000 : Length 65536
Feb 8 02:51:44 hostname kernel: st0: Error 27070000.
Feb 8 02:55:02 hostname kernel: st: Unloaded.
If any more information is required, please let me know.
I forgot to mention: The problem occurs during read and during write access. The
data on the tape seems to be garbled at that part then. :-(
Harry
