I re-tried 2.2.1(+3.1f) more carefully.

The new compatibility table is:

         3.* 2.5f
	 r w r w (= read/write)
2.1.107 + + + + (3.* = 3.1f)
2.1.128 + - + +
...
2.1.131 + - + + (3.* = 3.1d)
2.1.132 ? - + - (the "-" for 2.5f/r was single shot after failed write)
2.2.1 + +

2.2.1+3.1f is after "hardware reset" using the power switch.

With simple ctrl-alt-del out of 2.1.132 after a failed access,
i got some spurious errors with the tape i had used before
(incomplete read, no write).

Now, 2.2.1+3.1f works fine for me, even with the tape that seemed
damaged.

I obviously had just somehow "inherited" the error from 2.1.132.

Still apologizing,
Gerhard.
