I have a multi-OS box (includes RedHat 5.2) with the following card:

Wd7296a (as reported by Windows NT Control Panel SCSI Adapter applet)

BIOS:
WD 7193 PCI-SCSI HBA
Alt-W reports:

PCI Bus 0
PCI Device 04
SCSI ID: 7
Adapter rev. 1.0
BIOS rev 1.05.70
Setup rev. 1.01

This card works fine under Windows NT, and Windows 95.

I cannot get it to work under RedHat Linux.

I issued the command /sbin/modprobe wd7000, and received the reply
wd7000.o: device or resource busy.

The machine has a PCI Network card (Realtek RTL8029 PCI adapter)
which works fine on all OSs, so I assume Linux is having no problem
with PCI.

Is there any way I can get this card to work?

Thanks,

David C. Hoos, Sr.
