I noticed that the RedHat 5.1 and 5.2 kernels have support
for reading Video-CDs (i.e. CDROM-XA) with IDE drives,
but NOT with SCSI drives.

Reading CDROM-XA uses the ioctl call CDROMREADRAW.

I have read that CDROMREADRAW for SCSI is supported in
kernel 2.1.34+, but is there a chance that:

- A patch be available for the many people using
  redhat 5.1 or 5.2 ?

- It will be available in RedHat 5.3 ?
