Can anyone clarify the latest situation on AIC7xxx SCSI drivers?
I'm confused by the release notes for 2.0.36:
"AIC7xxx
The 2.0.36 kernel contains the 5.1.4 release of the AIC7xxx driver.
This should cure most of the remaining problems with the older
chipsets. Users with the latest AIC7xxx devices will have to wait for
the next driver version to become available or try the beta test driver."
Which AIC7xxx devices are actually supported?
Are the problems with AIC7890 soted in 2.0.36 ?
Is the aic7xxx-5.1.0-2.0.35_patch.gz and similar patches at ftp.dialnet
now redundant?
What are the "...latest AIC7xxx devices..." that still may have problems and
which controllers are affected.?
5.1.4 never appeared on ftp.dialnet, is it the very latest driver release or not?
Thanks,
Mark
