O.K. it's fine now, everything seems to work "normally".

Exactly the same as the aic7xxx driver now.
It used to hang before, killing the tar and hanging the aha1542 until
I rmmod'd/insmod'd the aha1542.o module.
Well done, even if you havn't fixed everything, it's now
perfectly usable and should go into the kernel sources.
