Using RH5.1, Kernel 2.0.35-2, Adaptec 2940UU
Kind of strange behaviour. When I'm booting up on the scsi scan here is
what I get

(SCSI0-1:-0) Scanning chanel for devices
vendor: Plextor Model:CD-r PX-R412C Rev. 1.04
Type: CD-ROM Ansis scsi revision : 02
vendor: iomega Model: jaz 1GB Rev. H.72
Type: Direct Access Ansi scsi revision .02
Detected scsi removable disk sda at scsi 0, channel 0 id 4, lun 0

Then it goes on scanning the other 2 devices on the chain, a iomega zip
and at the end of the chain where terminated, an Akai sampler. Again for
these devices it does the "Detected line, with id and /dev device name.
Why would it not do the same for the first device, the SCSI CD-ROM.
Here no Detected line, no id no /dev/device name.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Stuart
