I have installed a second controller into my DEC Alpha udb. The one
controller that it came with (ncr53c810) works fine, but the second
one will not load up. I keep on getting this error when I load it with
insmod advansys.o

from my understanding is the advansys.o is 64bit clean and it did
compile with no problems..

here is all the info I can provide on this problem that I have:

the advansys scsi card is a ABP930 - Bus-Master PCI (16 CDB)
and show up in the dec bios with this:
virtual slot=12, vendor=10cd, device=13000, revision=3

my ncr53c810 shows up in the bios with this:
virtual slot=6, vendor=1000, device=1, revision=1

and show up on boot up as this:
ncr53c8xx: at PCI bus 0, device 6, function 0
ncr53c8xx: 53c810 detected
ncr53c810-0: rev=0x01, base=0xc001000, io_port=0x9000, irq=11
ncr53c810-0: ID 7, Fast-10, Parity Checking
ncr53c810-0: restart (scsi reset).
scsi0 : ncr53c8xx - revision 2.5f.1

here is my current boot command line:
                mem=128M no-hlt ncr53c8xx=disc:no

here are some other stuff that I set but I don't think this will help:
echo "setting up scsi disconnects, error reporting & tagged
queueing"
/bin/echo setflag 4 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo setflag 3 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo setverbose 0 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo settags 4 0 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0

Now, If I place the advansys into my kernel what should my
command line be or what should my command line be if I install it as
a module?

thanks.
