Hi,
I trying to configure a Linux v1.2.13 kernel to work with a Future
Domain TMC3260 SCSI host adapter. The machine is successfully
detected by the PCI BIOS code (cat /proc/pci shows the card), but is
not detected by the fdomain driver; the driver failed to find the
BIOS at any of the 7addresses checked.
My card looks as if it has a BIOS installed, it certainly has an
EPROM installed, with "36c70 V2.0" written on it.
Is there any way of telling what address the card is installed
at??. The DOS drivers do not seem to give any information on this,
only telling me the I/O port and IRQ number.
As an experiment, I compiled a v1.3.17 kernel. This failed for the
same reason, however, if I force the driver to continue, it correctly
finds the card, but does not appear to give me a memory base address,
reporting the BIOS as version 0.0!!!
Can anyone give me any ideas on how to get the driver to detect my
card using a v1.2 kernel?? (I am building this machine for a customer
and so am reluctant to use a v1.3 kernel !!)
Thanks in advance
Cheers,
Steve.
