I've got a SCSI card (aha152x) which is no longer recognized
after a motherboard upgrade. I also recompiled the kernel to
include support for a ShineNet (NE2000 clone) ethernet card.
(At present the ShineNet card recognizes, but I don't get
network access.)

From Ethernet-HOWTO:

ShineNet LCS-8634 -- clone uses Winbond chip that traps SCSI drivers

The HOWTO gives no more information. Is this likely my problem,
and is this a fatal error, or is there a work-around?
