I have installed ver 0.9 of NCR53C8xx into my kernel ver 2.0.35 on
my Dec but when I boot I get Cache Incorrectley Configured and
the system halts. Any Ideas?
I have had considable amouts of problems with my dat drive and the
system has a memory leak in the kernel 2.0.35 it seam to have to
do with buffers but it is also with an older NCR53C8xxx driver.
one of the problems is when I use the tape drive it corupts one or
both of the drives and I have to reformat and reinstall to fix the
problem..
Here is a lay out of my SCSI chain:
DEC Alpha
|
|
root hard drive Quantum Firball_TM3200s 3 gig id1
|
|
home drive Microplis 3243-19 4 gig id2
|
|
dat drive Archive Python 28388 id4
|
|
NEC 7 disk disk changer MBR-7 id 3
I am also passing this to the scsi driver:
/bin/echo setflag 4 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo setflag 3 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo setverbose 0 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
/bin/echo settags 4 0 > /proc/scsi/ncr53c8xx/0
Thanks...
