I don't think the Advansys driver has been tested on Alpha. I haven't
tried mine yet. But if the driver is 64-bit clean, it should work...
You will have to build a new kernel that supports it. With luck, it will
be detected as your *second* controller. I plugged an Adaptec 3940W into
my Alpha, and the onboard NCR gets detected as the *third* controller...
It works (but only with newer kernels), and I had to change my fstab
file to put the root filesystem on the other drive...
Good luck
Jeff
