From what I understand, this card has no BIOS to begin with.
During boot, even before Linux starts loading, there is no message from
the NCR SCSI card, while I do get a standard bus detection and setup
option message from my Buslogic card.
If the scsi driver is trying to find a BIOS in order to
initialize, and there is no BIOS, is there someway to get around this
BIOS-probing feature? Thanks.

No, it was not taken from an Alpha, I just tried to use it in one
before I tried to use it in a P100. As far as I know, it did work at one
time, for another person, just fine under Linux. (It was bought used.)
