Hi,
We recently bought an Astor chassis (computer case) which we use with an
Intel R440LX motherboard (built-in AIC7880UW SCSI interface).
Unfortunately, the Hot-Swappable Backplane which comes with it is detected
by the generic SCSI driver as ID5 and tries to initialize it. At a guess,
I think the SCSI driver tries to initialize the HSBP and fails which is
why Linux bootup hangs (Initializing ... trying harder).
Is there a workaround for this or has it been included in later versions
of the SCSI driver? (It's probably not SCSI controller type dependent)
ANY solution to the problem would be greatly appreciated.
