Buslogic 545C and reset loop

I am having a problem with 2 buslogic 545C's in the same machine. When the driver loads it goes into a loop saying,
SCSI host 1 abort (pid 19) timed out - resetting
SCSI bus is being reset for host 1 channel 0.
scsi1: Resetting BusLogic BT-54xC due to Target 0
scsi1: *** BusLogic BT-54xC Initialized Successfully ***
This happens weather or not there is anything on the scsi bus scsi1. What do I have to do to fix this? The driver version is
2.0.14. BTW. If I cat /proc/scsi/BusLogic/(busno) it dosent mention any bus resets in the error list for either controller.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
