multiple controller annoyance

Hello,

I just spent the better part of an evening trying to make things right
after I decided to use my PAS16 SCSI together with my normal ncr 53c810.

The fun you can have with Lilo, /etc/fstab, the BIOS when /dev/sda
suddenly becomes /dev/sdb (but not to the BIOS!)...

Anyway, I know this probably won't get changed in the kernel, but having
the PAS16 (which doesn't have BIOS support) checked before controllers
which *do* have BIOS support is not ideal. For now I put the NCR driver
as the very first in my kernel.

Does Linux-alpha get 32-bit device numbers? (I know about the multiple
controller problems, I just hadn't experienced them myself, and the
BIOS/Linux mismatch is a nasty one. Luckily you can tell lilo about it).
