I have made a mistake. It was FreeBSD that did not support that card,
not Redhat....whoops! I remember wanting to sell that (1520b) card and
get an Ultra Wide card (2940), anyway. Sorry for misinformation.

KL

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, the 1520b card is not supported by Linux. I had the same
situation (1520b and a CD-R), and ofcourse I discovered this the night I
installed Redhat 5, while going through the install support pages at:

http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/rhl/intel/rh50-hardware-intel-6.html#drives-scsiadapters-unsupp

Hope this helps,
KL

Hello.

I'm trying to install a SCSI CD-RW. Not having SCSI already, I bought a
kit, including card; Adaptec 1520b; and I'm getting the scsi :0 hosts
message.
