The aic7xxx driver is known to be partially broken in 2.0.34. Get the
latest drivers from:
ftp://ftp.dialnet.net/pub/linux/aic7xxx/2.0.34/
I had some curious errors/warnings under 2.0.34 before I updated the
driver (I've got a 2940UW connected to a Sony AIT tape drive and a 36G
outboard Raid), and now things don't complain at all and transfers fly.
I'm using 5.0.18, but 5.0.19 is out now.
Hope this cures at least some of the problems out there!
Phil
