Hi,

I hope this is the correct mailing list for this, if not, I apologize.

I have a question regarding the following combination of
hardware/software:
	Linux: 2.0.33
SCSI card: Adaptec 2940 UW Bios 1.32, Auto Termination enabled.
	Disks: 2 x WDE 9100
The system is set up with the drives at ID 0 and ID 1, Controller at ID
7. The disks are chained with ID 1 the first one in the chain, and ID 0
at the end of the chain. The drive at the end of the chain is
terminated.

Things work fine, as long as don't make use of the second drive
(formatted as a single partition). If the second drive is used, I get a
lot of SCSI errors, usually beginning with an Unexpected bus free
followed by IO errors on 08:11 (return code 28000002). The disk gets
very corrupted at this point.

I have not discounted the possibility of cable problems (but the drive
at the end of the chain works), so if anyone has any hints on card
setting/jumper settings on the drives I would appreciate it.
