If this is a Ricoh 6200S you have, they are not the greatest for DAE.
Upgrading the firmware helps a bunch. I suggest you try "cdparanoia"
which will try multiple reads (slower) of each sector. I get perfect
sounding copies with this combination. Cdparanoia prints a graph of how
well it is ripping tracks and I found a marked difference after the
firmware upgrade. I have not found a windawg program that reads anywhere
close to the tracks ripped with cdparanoia.
