Dear all,
Sorry to have troubled you. I now understand that the often quoted 40
MB/sec for fast/wide SCSI disks is just so much marketing smoke. What
really matters is the internal IO rate which for ST423451W is given as
86 to 124 mbits/sec = 10.75 to 15.5 MB/sec. So my system is performing
as it should....
