I upgraded my Mode 4 ide drive to a UW 7200 RPM drive and the speed up 
was noticable.  Even for me and my single drive/single user machine.

Of course playing a mp3 doing a locate DB update and starting X all at 
once doesn't cause any breaks in the mp3 (even with a small buffer <16k)

Im much happier that I dont have a peice of IDE technology in my box :-)
