Hi

I've lately noticed that my system is giving scsi bus timeouts when
stressing the scsi system. If anyone has any
suggestions as to what is causing it, please let me know.

The system is:

P200, 16M RAM
Kernel 2.0.18

There are 2 scsi cards, one with tape and one with disk

This is the log from the last time I booted it:

Jan 15 08:41:51 nutmeg kernel: Configuring Adaptec (SCSI-ID 7) at IO:134,
IRQ 9, DMA priority 5
Jan 15 08:41:51 nutmeg kernel: scsi1 <fdomain>: BIOS version 3.2 at 0xc8000

==========================

The errors I get are when writing to sda, e.g. copying 25Mbyte files from
hda1 to sda1
I can only generate write errors

May 5 11:35:43 nutmeg kernel: SCSI bus is being reset for host 1 channel 0.

I have a 2.0.33 kernel ready to go: I have been waiting for a convenient
moment to load it. Will it help?

Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks

TimR
