Change sg maximum?

Your second idea is very interesting to me.

I heard something about changing sg maximum, but unfortunately my
knowledge of SCSI code is next to zero.

So, I'll first check that we're speaking of the same thing.

 aic7xxx:

   #define        AIC7XXX_MAX_SG 128

Is that the line I ought to change?

What I would like to know is what are implications of changing
(raising or lowering) that number?

Could some good soul with knowledge of SCSI explain what is to gain
and what is to loose?
