g_NCR5380 is the name of a driver for the NCR53c400 and NCR5380 chips, the
g_ prefix is meant to indicate that it is a generic driver, as I
understand, its used on a few other architectures as well as PCs.
It is likely that you won't be able to boot from the card, most of the
NCR53c400 based cards shipped with scanners and their ilk lack a bios or
enough of a bios to be able to boot from.
Dunno about the DOS drivers, I have a NCR53c400 based card, and well, I
can only use it in Linux, (its from back in the IBM XT/AT era.)
Hope this helps, Martin.
