Okay, its Sunday, my weekly update day. This week I have desided to try to
get my CD-ROM drive working again.

Basic history:

The drive is an NEC-210 double speed SCSI, controlled by a PAS-16 Rev D. It
is in an external enclosure that is part of the Media Vision Memphis. Basicly
there is a 38 pin connector that runs from the sound card to the external box
that carries sound/midi/scsi info.

The drive/controller works great with DOS/Win95, hangs for about 5 minutes
when booting NT, but then boot continues and drive works fine after that.
When mounting in Linux hangs for 5 minutes, then spits out some errors and
sits there for ever.

I have spent quite some time hanging my machine to gather as much information
as I could. I'm sorry if this is kind of big (it is smaller than some of the
patches posted here :). Anyway if anyone has any ideas I'm willing to try
anything to get this to work (I want to be able to install Debian 2 from CD).
If this following text doesn't answer something that you want to know about
the machine just ask and if I don't know I'll find out.
