To whom it may concern; I'm not even sure this is going to the right
people, but it seems to have something to do with my SCSI/sound
configuration as far as I can tell.
I could not get my kernel to mount anything, so I could not get the
error message from my syslog, but instead had to copy it by hand from
the screen, so it _may_ not be 100% correct, but I did the best I could
under the circumstances. The kernel that crashed in this report is
2.1.94. However, the last 2.1.x series kernel I have been able to
successfully run is 2.1.84, and all versions thereafter have caused a
similar problem, and I have given up hope that it would get fixed
somehow without providing some input of my own. I have all the required
program revision levels listed in Documentation/Changes, so I doubt
that's the problem. My SCSI/sound card is a Pro Audio Spectrum 16
revision D. I will attach my error message output, the output of 'nm
vmlinux' showing the address above and below my EIP value, and my
.config to show how I had the kernel configured to compile. Please let
me know if and how I may have located and possibly helped fix a major
bug. Thank you.
