Lee" <redhat@davelee.student.Princeton.EDU> To: linux-scsi@vger.rutgers.edu In-Reply-To: <6gdmp9$pla$1@vulcan.alphanet.ch> Problems with the DCAS and the host adaptor board are probably caused by bad cabling, termination, or 'bad' devices on the bus. I had horrible problems with my Ultra bus when my Yamaha CDR was sitting on it. I cured the problem by removing the CDR from the chain. If you have any truly ancient devices on your bus, or are using substandard cabling or termination, or exceeding the cable length limits, this will lead to bus problems On 7 Apr 1998, Marc SCHAEFER wrote: > Mike Nachlinger <mnach@northstar.apres.org> wrote: > > I have a DCAS-34330UW with a Buslogic BT-958 doing the same thing on a Debian > > I have two DCAS 34340UW (4GB version), with a 810 board (not using > wide nor ultra), and I never had any problem for *months*. > > Tried disabling command queuing ? > > > - > To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-scsi" in > the body of a message to majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu > - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-scsi" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.rutgers.edu
