This card can't be run with wd7000 driver! Here is my "standard reply", I send
to people asking about Linux drivers for WD7x9x-cards on
http://wdc.intelenet.net/support/wwwboards/controller/
There is an official project page at
http://home.earthlink.net/~shanec/719x.html. This is rather dated out, and the
driver there ISN'T working.
The best is, to join the mailing list at wd719x@woods.net. It's explained how to
do on the page mentioned above
If you are experienced Linux user and/or programmer you can find my VERY ALPHA
driver at
http://schering.si2.uni-hannover/stuff/gaertner/WD719X. But beware, it is not
fully tested yet.
If you like to see the sourcecode for the SCO and Solaris drivers as well the
famous "Spider Book" describing the protocol used by WD33C296 chip, send me an
Email. (WD doesn't like that I provide such information, so I have to be
carefully).
