It is possible to transparently expand an existing ext2fs filesystem
without loss of data?

We currently have an 9Gb Seagate Barracuda for our squid HTTP proxy, I
would like to be able to add a second 9Gb drive without ditching the
8Gb of data currently in the cache.

Can striped raid-0 drives be transparently extended? if so is there a
loss of peformance?

TIA,
Damien Miller
