the aic7895 is supported by pathces to the 2.0.x series by Doug Ledford,
which can be found at...

IIRC. If thats your only HD controller, you'll have to get a boot disk
made by someone who already has a linux box, I guess. Unless there's
another way I'm forgetting. Excuse me if I seem a bit distracted. It's
been a hectic couple of weeks.
