Has anyone had any success getting the Toshiba SCSI adapter running with
Linux?

I'm trying to install RedHat 5.0 on a Toshiba 4700CT, but can't talk to the
SCSI CD ROM. The adapter is a small block that sits on the port at the back
of the laptop (ISA bus to all intents and purposes) part number PC-PA2113.
It works fine under Windows - set up as Adaptec 150X/1510/152X/AIC-6X60.
But I've tried it under Linux with the commands for 152X and 1542 with no
success.

Is this just a case where the device is too old or unpopular?

Thanks
Mike Pritchard
