Having sent a email to SYMBIOS about 2 weeks ago I have just recieved the
complete technical breakdown and command set on the SYM53c416NB CHIP.
After going over the code the exist for the exist NCR53c406a chip, there
dosent appear to be many difference. A couple of Address/Register that
had been read/write are now read only.
So I decided to start writing the new driver basing it on the olkd NCR
driver.
My main problem is a this stage is I cant seem to get the BIOS Signature
(it is not listed in the manual).
If anyone has good way of getting this can you let me know.
