Thanks to those of you who replied to my first posting!

However, I have not been able to get much further.  I have the Seagate
disk on SCSI ID # 0 and the HP DAT on SCSI ID # 1.  When I connect the
cable to the DAT drive (btw HP DAT is internal as well as the Seagate),
the scsi bios cannot find a disk to boot from.  If the SCSI 2 cable to the
DAT is disconnected everything is fine.  When in the SCSI BIOS settings a
scan of the SCSI bus shows nothing when the DAT is connected but when the
DAT is disconnected the scan picks up the Seagate drive.  I must be either
missing something that is obvious or I have a deffective DAT. Does anyone
have some ideas ?
