I recently started a DPT Hardware RAID HOWTO
<http://www.ram.org/computing/linux/dpt_raid.html>
and I'd like this to become an HOWTO about hardware RAID in general.
The HOWTO currently assumes the EATA DMA driver is being used (which
was recommended to me by DPT). Recently, I was informed that the EATA
ISA/EISA/PCI driver could also be used. Since our RAID is on a
production system, I can't experiment with different drivers.
If you are using this driver in conjunction with DPT, I would
appreciate it if you could send me a log of the start up sequence,
comments/times about performance of the DPT hardware under this
driver, and any other relevant info (such as the output of proc). I
will integrate this information into the Hardware HOWTO.
Please send or Cc your reply to me@ram.org
Thanks!
