Hello

I'm trying to use an adaptec 1542B scsi board with linux (Red Hat 4.2).
Connected to the scsi board is a dat tape and a hard disk.

I've tried both reconfiguring the kernel and also loading the boot
installation software again and I get a message that goes something like

scsi detected at scsi-id 7 io:330 irq11 dma 7
scsi0 adaptec

scsi 1 host

scsi: aborting command due to timeout: pid 0, scsi 0, id 0 lun 0 Test unit
ready 00 00 00 00
scsi host 0 abort (pid0) timeout - reseting
scsi bus being reset for host 0 channel 0
sent bus device reset to target 0
sending DID_RESET for target 0
 " " " "

then the message starts again from scsi: aborting command.....

In the documentation the only options are io,buson, busoff, dmaspeed.
Buson/off isn't in the jumper selection.
Are the jumpers on the board set wrong? As far as I can tell they are set
to the standard settings.

Thanks for any help anyone has to offer

Robin
