my linux box has the following SCSI configuration :
SCSI Adapter: AIC-7870 (AIC-787x chipset)
Host Bus: Wide
Base IO: 0x600
IRQ: 11
SCBs: Used 10, HW 16, Page 16
Interrupts: 2756537
Serial EEPROM: False
Extended Translation: Disabled
SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled
Ultra SCSI: Disabled
Target Disconnect: Enabled
I have a SCSI disk array with 5 hard disks and other 2 free locations, 1 CD and a
tape.
64MB of RAM and 586 100Mhz.
I'm running Caldera Open Linux.
The questions are:
(i) Can I add a new disk of 23GB? What is the maximum amount of GB that I can
have in my Linux box?
(ii) Host Bus: Wide + Ultra SCSI: Enable mean that I have a
Ultra Wide SCSI adapter.
(iii) How can i determine the amount of memory that Linux FileSystem
have in memory(size of i-node table).
(iv) Can I evaluate the performance of disk i/o access? If I can do it,
How can i do that?
Thanks in advances
