Hello all,

I am just trying to get Linux up and running on my system, but am
running into problems.
I have a 245MB HD (Linux)
            4.0G HD (Win95)
            Hitachi 17" Monitor
            Matrox Mystique 2MB Card
            Pentium II 233Mhz
            48 MB RAM

I understand that 245MB is not much when talking about installing LINUX,
but I want to do this on the smaller drive before (practice) before I go
out and buy a larger drive for this pupose.

I can get the basic system up and running, and I have Dl'ed XFree86
3.3.1
Here's where my problems start:
when I tar the .tgz files, they don't all go into the directories where
XF86Setup is expecting them. no prob--I just copy them to the correct
dirs.
Second--when I can finally get XF86Setup to actually run, it runs into a
"Can't connect to server" error -- errno = 2

I have read the FAQ, the instructions for the Matrox cards, everything I
could find, but no answers.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Mike
