Hmmm. It just seems, a normal timeout occurs, i.e. the mid level SCSI code
has waited too long. The timeout in st.c is 9 seconds. You can try to
change this value.
If you suspect the tmscsim driver, please define DC390_DEBUG0 in line 32
in tmscsim.c and recompile. You'll get a bunch of messages logged to your
syslog then.
BTW. Are you able to write anything on the tape or does the timeout occur
right at the beginning ? Does your system recover from the SCSI reset ?

Well. While the SCSI driver waits for data, your system should work
perfectly, as long as you don't try to access data from SCSI disk.
The driver does not support tagged command queueing.

If you got a EPROM burner, you can download BIOS 2.0 from the Tekram ftp
site. It adds the possibility to boot from CD and other nice things.
