Sorry, if this has already been discussed, but I had some mailproblems, and
I am not sure that I got every post.

CD-RW drives can do packed writing, e.g. 512Kbytes. So you can also rewrite
only parts of CD-RW. You don't have to erase the whole Disk. But to use
this feature, you have to use a fs that supports rewriting packages. You'll
have problems there with iso9660 (closed session, directory
structure...).The solution would be UDF, but it's not yet available for linux.
If you want more detailed info, I cold sent you the white paper of RICOH
concerning CD-RW technology. It's pretty good to start with (general
information).

I have start burning some disks with linux. Could someone recommend
software? (freeware ???)
