After I installed Slackware linux on an IBM 4.3GB UWSCSI HD with an
adaptec 2940UW card the hard disk now makes a really unhealthy noise
all the time even though I have taken linux off. I am getting it
replaced cause I only bought it a week ago, but I need to put some
version of linux and XWindows on to do work. Does anyone know which
is best for my configuration? BTW I have a Gateway 233P2 and scsi
cdrom, Atlanta intel M'board 64Mb SDRAM AccelGraphics 8MB card
if this info is also needed.
