Hello list,
The box is running slackware 3.3.0 on kernel 2.0.33. The card is a pci
NCR53c810. There are a total of 5 devices on the chain. Termination is
correct. The hard drives and the cd-rom work fine. The generic scsi
driver identifies all of the devices as well as the scanner. The
scanner is assigned sge the other devices are assigned sga to sgd. It
seems to me this is not correct as the first four devices are being
driven from the the ncr scsi controller driver. Is there some way to
set it up so that the scsi generic driver only picks up the scanner and
not the other devices
Both drivers are compiled into the kernel and I have no trouble boot up
the system. I have not had much success with the modules and kerneld so
I would prefer to go the compiled into the kernel route.
Cheers,
Peter Hall
