Hi, There,
I have bought a smart and friendly 2006plus scsi CD-R writer
and I put it into my linux box. the scsi is adaptec 152x compatible and
I compiled the kernel for the scsi 152x device driver (2.0.33 kernel)
and scsi cdrom support. I also enabled the bios c8000 address shadow, and
I boot up my linux box, after it detected the scsi bus, the machine
hanged, here is the message :
aha=152x0, vital data PORTBASE=0x140, IRQ=11, SCSI ID=7 , reconnect=enabled,
parity=enabled, synchronous=disabled, delay=100, extended translation=disabled.
aha 152x: trying software interrupt: OK
scsi0: adaptec 152x scsi driver, rev 1.18$
scsi: 1 host
vendor: SAF Model CD-R2006plus, Rev 1.55
Type: CDROM, ANSI SCSI revision 02
Detected SCSI CDROM sr0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 6 , lun 0
scsi channel 0: resetting for second half of retries
scsi bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0
then it waits infinitely. I wonder what is happenning, how I can fix it.
Thanks!
