Hello!
I have problem with AHA 2940UW SCSI controller....
When using kernel version 2.0.30 everything works ok!
but when i upgrade to 2.0.31 or 2.0.33 or 2.0.76 ... i tested this
versions of kernel, (all other have probably the same problem) this
happens:
controler is detected ok, but when kernel does partition scan:
sda : ... reports partitions
sdb : ... reports partitions
sdc : time passes, and then it starts returning SCSI timeout errors and
so on...
disks sda and sdc are almost the same IBM DCAS 34330 disks (only
different firmware revision)
on sda and sdb there are fat32 & vfat partitions
on sdc there are vfat + extended dos & linux & linux swap partitions
what's the problem? - i tried to compile it with all possible aic78xx
configurations...
