Hello,

I have some problems with a Sony sdt-5200 DAT, which is connected
to an Adaptec AIC-6360 controller.
When writing an archive with more than 50Mb or so of data the
machine just freezes. Anyway pressing the Ctrl-<Scroll-Lock> buttons
gives a list of the active processes. The process writing on the
tape has always a negative id.
I cannot switch console or log in the machine from a remote telnet.
Note that the problem disappears if I use another DAT, a WangDat-3200,
and reading works fine with either DAT.
I tried another AIC-6360 controller and a cable with no luck.

Does anyone know what could be the cause?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you.
