Hi: I hope someone can help me with this:

I was looking at the manual for the S1696DLUA Thunder 2 ATX Motherboard
(from Tyan) with an eye to buying one, and it stated that it had the
following:

  Onboard two channel Adaptec AIC-7895
Ultra-Wide SCSI controller (equivalent to Adaptec 3940AUW).

Inspection of the SCSI-howto, and the files in /drivers/scsi/
indicates support for everything upto the 788x chips, and for the
Adaptec 3940W. Is the 3940W driver going to be able to speak to the
aic7895? If not in the 2.0 series, will the latest 2.1 series kernel
module do the job? If not, is there a driver on the horizon?
