I have released the following patches at:
ftp://gwyn.tux.org/pub/roudier/
AKA ftp://linux.wauug.org/pub/roudier/
Files are:
ncr53c8xx-2.4a-to-2.4c.patch.gz (against linux-2.0.33 stock ncr driver)
ncr53c8xx-2.5e-to-2.5f.patch.gz (useable under 2.0.27-33, using sets
of patches described in the README file)
These patches contain minor changes related to 53C875 rev. <=3
errata(s). These chips are reported to work quite well, so I would
think that these chip bugs should not trigger problems under Linux.
However, some of the bugs required, IMO, some driver code changes in
order to ensure that all will be really ok.
I will sent the corresponding driver updates for inclusion in latest
2.0.3X and 2.1.7X if no problems are reported for the next 4 days.
The equivalent patch against experimental driver version 2.6b will
be available as soon as possible. I just need time to complete testing
other driver changes.
Regards, Gerard.
