Folks
I just bought an Adaptec 2940AU SCSI card, and am trying to get it
working
on Red Hat Linux and have had no success with the boot image
(boot2940au.imb.gz)
provided by the redhat.com.
If anyone is trying to do the same and have had more success, please let
me know.
I ran into problems with Linux kernel version (2.0.18 and 2.0.27).
REDHAT folks say that
the boot image boot2940au.imb.gz is based on kernel 2.0.27 but when I
booted my
system with this image it showed up as kernel 2.0.18. Any help will be
appreciated.
