Hello I have an Adaptec 2940 Ultra/Ultra Wide SCSI card. When I
upgraded my kernel to 2.0.32 (Slakware 3.3/3.4) I have been
experiencing problems. I get a scsi:0 busy error (which is my hard
disk) all the time.On my chain I have an extrernal DAT Drive (Sony)
ID 6 and SCSI HDD ID 0, SCSI 60MB Tape ID 1, and a SCSI Tape 250MB ID
5. I turned off auto detection of bus terminations as it says at
boot-time nad it still gives the error. The while system hangs when
it prints this error continuously down the main console screen.
External Devices
Sony DAT - ID 6
Internal Chain Devices
SCSI HDD - ID 0
SCSI 60MB Tape - ID 1
SCSI 250MB Tape - ID 5
Sorry about the long winded way I went about saying it....I am tried
and I need some sleep. Please email me for any information that you
might need and I will be more than happy to reply.
Best regards,
Kurt Heine (comman@vision.net.au)
PS. Complied into the kernel, not a module. Also before this there
was not hardware confilicts and it has been happily running for about
3 months with no change other than ZIP (IDE ATAPI) drive added in
place of CD-ROM (ATAPI).
