I assume these will be 1991's and 3243's.  I've had really lousy luck with
the 3243's and would only consider taking more of them if they were
free...and even then, I'd be afraid to use them as anything but paper
weights.

OTOH, I've used 1936's and never had trouble with them, except that I
don't think they handle tagged queueing properly.  Does anyone have
experience with the 1991?  I just bought one from onsale, and if they're
about to sell "vast quantities" probably at even lower prices (I paid
about $340 with shipping), I might try twisting the bosses arm until he
approves a purchase of at least 4 or more to be used as an md0 news spool,
and perhaps one for our FTP mirror.

I know current wisdom says "use lots of small disks for news spool", but
I'm hoping that raid-0 on a minimum of 4 9gb disks will help make up for
the large size.  Anyone tried this yet?

Anyone know if the 1991 does TQ?
